Anne Marie Javouhey Secondary School was founded by a a French nun by the same name. We were unable to find any solid information about her, but we believe she founded the school in 1805, along with her sisters, with financial help from her father.
Once the school was founded, many children did not attend so she began to play football with the local children and requested them to attend the school in order to play more football.
5 years after Anne-Marie founded the school, the school became a prison for Spanish PoWs (Prisoners of war) as Spain was currently fighting many of their rebelling colonies at the time.
