Mboni Students Service Learning at Marangu Lutheran Hospital
Tidying up, washing bed sheets, mopping up and giving out free soap to patients.
We implemented Service Learning by visiting our local hospital and learning how to do some of the important jobs that keep the hospital clean, healthy and safe. We heard presentations from our teachers and colleagues. We had an good experience and the feedback from the hospital was excellent!

Avocado planting to address Climate Change!
Mboni secondary school students and teachers when implementing the campaign "Let the seeds be replanted." We are replanting the avocados' seeds collected from the nearby environment to address the issue of climate change.
Mboni Secondary teacher Mark Lyimo reports that Collaborative Project 2, linking Lyakrimu Secondary School and Kuleana Empowerment Group, was a day of amazing exertion! 5 teachers and 43 pupils gathered their forces to carry the waste they had collected, they walked 10kilometers collecting bottles and other waste. They did massive task and soon realised that the problem of plastic waste is even larger than they had realised. They collected 60 large bags of plastic bottles and put them in the dump, but there is still so much more to be done. It's such a big problem, like it is everywhere in the world. They installed new bins at bus stops and even had time for some refreshments at the end of the day. Well done!
