Friday 9th October 2020
In this weeks lesson, Mr Zuill gave us figurines which we took photos of in and around the Bats Wood environment. I took photos of a snail (which i called Sid) and a mouse family. As it was the last lesson before we broke up for the October break, we had cups of tea and hot chocolate! Not only this but we took pictures in the Connecting Classrooms frame which we made and decorated in the previous week (:.
Friday 11th September 2020
In todays session, we dug up vegetables such as potatoes and radishes from the school's garden. We donated the vegetables that we harvested to the Home Economics Department, where they can utilize them in their work. Not only this but we began digging a spiral shaped ditch, in order to assist biodiversity. To ensure the spiral kept its shape, we placed stone slabs around the relevant areas, as a result of this, the structure should remain intact. As the area in which we were working in is a public space, we covered the ditch with wilted tree branches and up-cycled rabbit litter to create a path. By doing this, we are prioritizing the safety of the public.
Friday 4th December 2020
As the weather wasn't permitting, we were inside this week to which we spent the time reading students letters to their future pen-pals as a part of the Connecting Classrooms project! We received tonnes of letters from partnering schools in order for the letters to be sent to countries such as India, Ghana, Senegal and Tanzania. We are looking forward to send the letters and make pen-friends (:
